It seems like every Christmas we get slammed with unexpected costs and this Christmas was no different. Read on to find out what unexpected Christmas “Gift” we got this year!
We Got An Unexpected Christmas “Gift”
I hope your Christmas and New Year was amazing!! My family and I had a great time.
My wife and I took off the entire week of Christmas. It was a much needed break from work and a good time with the kids.
So… we got an unexpected “gift” for Christmas. If you can’t tell yet, I’m being a bit sarcastic.. :(
A couple days after Christmas my wife’s vehicle (2009 Buick Enclave) stopped shifting between gears. We took it to CarX and found out the transmission is done! They wanted “only” $5,000 to $6,000 to replace it!
The vehicle is only worth about $8,000 in good shape. So there you have it. That’s our unexpected “gift” for Christmas. I’m sure I’m not the only one either. It seems like every Christmas we seem to get hit with more expenses than we would like.
Does anyone else have these issues? We can’t be the only ones..
We decided it was time to throw in the towel on the old Buick and went down and got a Honda Civic Sport… You can’t beat the affordability and reliability of a good old Honda Civic! :)
On a side note, I’ve got a brand new post on how I got started in the stock market. It’s a really interesting little story that shows how we end up going down our most successful routes in life from the most unexpected events.
This is the first in a brand new series I’m starting for 2019 to teach you my secrets to become amazing at investing stocks and making some serious cash doing it! Way more to come!
